Scandinavian style home interior design

Scandinavian style home interior design

Our new project is Scandinavian-style home interior design. Despite its originality, Scandinavian style is liked by almost everyone. And this is not surprising, because it is difficult to imagine a landlord who would not like to see his home decorated with such simplicity and practicality, ease and modesty. But this Scandinavian style is no stranger to the desire to create a comfortable, beautiful and modern design apartment or private home.

The main reasons for the design of the room in the Scandinavian style

The main task is to create an interior in this style – to provide the room with maximum daylight. The space itself may be small, but there must be large windows inside. The importance of natural light in the aesthetics of the Scandinavian peoples is difficult to overestimate;

The interior design of the Scandinavian style home involves the active use of white in the decoration of the room. The white ceiling and in almost all cases the same tone for the walls – a characteristic feature of the design space in the Scandinavian style. This approach ensures maximum light propagation indoors – the sun’s rays reflect off the white surfaces and spread throughout the room;

The use of predominantly natural materials – wood for decoration and production of furniture, ceramics and stone for facing surfaces that require special protection, the use of leather, fur and natural textiles (cotton, linen) for decorative drapery. If you decide to use artificial analogues of natural materials, then they should ideally imitate natural raw materials;

Use of open-plan planning in most rooms – the dining room is combined with the kitchen, the bedroom is combined with the study, and sometimes the library without any partitions. This approach allows you to maximize the feeling of space and to provide all functional areas of space with natural light;

The use of simple but functional furniture. Extremely comfortable, but modest design – business card stylistics of the Scandinavian peoples;

Scandinavian-style home interior design is usually without any hint of luxury and wealth – the main task of any interior element is practical use. Even decorative items (which are actually quite few in a Scandinavian-style room) carry a functional load;

In the bright room there are one or two bright accents – it can be a piece of furniture or textiles, a large houseplant or wall decor (colorful paintings, family photos in bright frames);

When designing a Scandinavian-style interior, one should keep in mind that it must reflect the master’s character and, above all, serve his needs, reflect his conception of beauty, comfort and aesthetics.

Spraying the loft

Also in this project you can hear the notes of the loft. The basic concept of this style is the layout of different architectural solutions. For example, a harmonious combination of old (brick walls, stairs, pipes, exposed ventilation systems, factory fixtures) and modern (new appliances, metal, mirrors) in one interior.

The basis of the room in the style of the loft consists of details: the furniture is as simple and functional as possible, the color is mostly cool shades, large windows, almost complete lack of decor. Interestingly, what is considered a disadvantage in other styles – different brick ledges, plastered walls, board floor are the highlight of the loft.

This project is characterized by a light spacious design in pastel colors. The kitchen is separated by sliding doors, which, if desired, can be hidden in the wall design. This combines the kitchen with the living room. A striking design highlight is a fireplace, shaped by a tile with a rust texture, in contrast to the “delicate” room looks spectacular. Decorating with wooden bars adds warmth and comfort.
