Guest house project in Irpin

Holiday house made of wooden beams is designed on a picturesque wooded area in the suburbs of Kiev. The main goal is to get a cozy space for rest during the year, while preserving the existing trees. 

We have designed a laconic volume, consisting of 2 parts: the house itself and the construction of terraces and covering them, which seems to envelop the building on three sides. Functionally, the house is divided vertically: 1st level - active area (kitchen-living room, sauna, seating terraces), 2nd level - sleeping area. The terrace, in turn, also has a division: there is a place for a fireplace and barbecue with a spectacular metal structure of the chimney, suspended by metal ropes to cover, as well as a place to relax after the sauna.

Proximity to nature is provided by large panoramic windows on the 1st level and balconies - on the 2nd, the material of the walls and terraces (wooden beams and terrace boards, respectively), tall trees located nearby, for one of them designed a hole in the covered terraces ).

Contrast in the decoration also adds to the architectural expressiveness: wooden wall beams that look like charred wood (BURNED WOOD) are contrasted with the volume of the stairwell and terrace, decorated with light paneling.
